National Park Service Green Lights More Biking on George Washington Parkway for Bike DC
Great news! The National Park Service has just approved Bike DC's request to extend the section of the George Washington Parkway available for biking during Bike DC. You will now be able to bike up and down the Parkway from the Memorial Bridge in Arlington almost all the way to the Chain Bridge exit. That is ten miles car-free biking on the Parkway.
In addition to the Parkway, Bike DC gives you another 10 miles of car-free biking from Pennsylvania Avenue in heart of Washington to Crystal City.
