Hello Everyone:

Today near Round Hill there was a bicyclist traveling along Route 7 Eastbound. I barely saw him/her as the road was in a good bit of shade and their clothing was not bright.

I did see the bicyclist and proceeded to slow down and got in the left lane. Hoping the vehicles behind me, one quickly approaching, would follow suit.

Google Announces Google Biking Directions

Washington, D.C. - March 10, 2010 - The League of American Bicyclists is proud to be the forum for Google to announce what all bike riders have been waiting for - Grab Your Bike and Go with Google Maps. Google is announcing at the Opening Plenary Session at the National Bike Summit that they are adding biking directions in the U.S. to Google Maps."This new tool will open people's eyes to the possibility and practicality of hopping on a bike and riding," said Andy Clarke, President of the League of American Bicyclists.

Bicycle Class Offerings

WINTER 2010 BICYCLE MAINTENANCE & CYCLING SKILLS CLASSES

Two Northern Virginia adult education programs are separately sponsoring three cycling skills and bicycle maintenance courses taught by Allen Muchnick, a nationally certified League of American Bicyclists (LAB) Cycling Instructor.  Except as noted otherwise, all classes meet on weekday evenings from 6:30-9:30 PM.  If the schools close due to the weather, classes will be automatically rescheduled for the same time period exactly one week later.
