Western Parks Make Progress, Slowly

Two western Loudoun park projects are moving forward, albeit more slowly than their supporters would like.
Mark Novak, chief park planner for Loudoun Parks, Recreation and Community Services, has been working on the Round Hill to Purcellville trail for the better part of a decade. In fairness to the long process, Novak noted the project got sidelined through an internal county reorganization during which it was shuttled from Parks and Recreation to General Services and then back again.
But the project is now moving forward and construction on the first phase-from Round Hill to Franklin Park-is within sight ...
